Leopardo’s Charity Rock Band, Liquidated Damages, Celebrates 20th Anniversary

Leopardo’s charity rock band, Liquidated Damages, is celebrating 20 years of making a difference with its high-energy music and benevolent hearts.

Formed in 1998, Liquidated Damages is made up of musicians from Leopardo and its business partners. The band specializes in fast-paced, eclectic music that crosses genres and covers musicians ranging from Aerosmith to Adele and everything in between.

Organized primarily to play fundraisers and helping make a difference in the community, Liquidated Damages has raised more than $4 million for charities, including, Aspire, Homes for Heroes, Alzheimer’s Association, City of Hope, USO-Illinois and more. Last year alone its performances raised a collective $695,000 for various non-profit organizations.

Over the past two decades, Liquidated Damages has played with renowned talent, including Cheap Trick’s Rick Nielsen, Survivor’s founder Jim Peterik, singer/actor Jim Belushi, as well as Aerosmith’s touring piano player Russ Irwin. The band also played as the opening act for America.

Liquidated Damages most recently rocked the house at Rebuilding Together Metro Chicago’s third annual Battle of the Bands and will be putting on another electric performance at the City of Hope REACH Social on Thursday, April 26th at the House of Blues. Liquidated Damages has raised more than $1 million for the City of Hope to aid in pediatric cancer research. The organization’s REACH committee, which is chaired by band member and Leopardo Executive Vice President Rick DuPraw, has raised a total of $4 million since its founding in 1996.
