Leopardo Breaks Ground on New Will County Public Safety Complex

Leopardo officially broke ground on a new public safety complex for the Will County Sheriff’s Department on Wednesday, October 5 with a ceremony at the project site at U.S. 52 and Laraway Road in Joliet.

The new 2-story complex will house the Will County Sheriff’s Department office, a 911 dispatch center to serve 30 communities, administrative offices for the Emergency Telephone System Board (ETSB), detention facilities and enclosed sally port, evidence processing with property storage and vehicle processing, as well as multipurpose meeting and locker rooms.

Leopardo, serving as construction manager, is providing preconstruction and construction services in collaboration with architect DLR Group. The project is on track for a late winter 2017 completion.
