Leopardo Completes Two Renovations for Erie Family Health Centers

Leopardo recently completed two renovations for Erie Family Health Centers totaling 11,600 square feet. Its community-based health centers provide accessible, affordable and high-quality healthcare to those in need in the Chicagoland area. Over 90 percent of its patients live in low-income households.

Work consisted of a 7,000-square-foot renovation of Erie Family Health’s Humboldt Park facility located at 2750 N. Ave., as well as a two-phase, 4,600-square-foot renovation of its West Town facility located at 1701 W. Superior St.

The Humboldt Park renovation included a customer service call center, office space for medical records, information technology, referrals and facilities departments. Leopardo also renovated the facility’s cafeteria and locker rooms for employees. Additionally, new roof-mounted HVAC equipment was installed to service the space.

The West Town project was completed in two phases to avoid disturbing the health center’s operations. Phase one consisted of the creation of new exam rooms, lab space and staff areas. Phase two included the renovation of the adult care area to create more efficient care stations and a lab area.

Serving as general contractor, Leopardo collaborated Legat Architects and tenant representative IFF on the projects.

These two projects are a continuation of Leopardo’s relationship with Erie Family Health Centers. Previous work includes the original build-outs of the Humboldt Park and West Town clinics, as well as a teen center on Division Street.
