Leopardo SVP Selected as Distinguished Alumnus at ISU’s 2017 Homecoming Celebration

Leopardo Senior Vice President James McInerney was recently selected by his alma mater, Illinois State University, to appear as a distinguished alumnus for its 2017 homecoming celebration. Alumni who have demonstrated a high level of professional success are annually selected by the university’s alumni association to participate in the festivities.

Throughout his career, Jim’s hard work, dedication and exceptional leadership has seen him rise from a safety specialist to a senior executive. He has personally contributed to some 5,000 project victories for Leopardo and has led risk management and operations on more than 5,000 projects valued at over $5 billion. His expertise has also garnered more than 50 awards for himself and the company, including the Robert M. Farrell Memorial Safety Award presented by the Construction Safety Association of America for his contributions to the science and art of safety.

Heading Leopardo’s strategic initiatives, in addition to field and self-perform operations, Jim’s leadership spans multiple offices and hundreds of job sites across the nation, including the 4 East Elm luxury condominium tower in Chicago and the new Arthur J. Gallagher headquarters in Rolling Meadows.

Jim has earned a reputation as one of the country’s top construction safety experts, and he is as much a distinguished, valued player on the Leopardo team as he is among the alumni of Illinois State University.
