Leopardo Wins Fourth Safety Excellence Award Since 2012

The Fox Valley Associated General Contractors (FVAGC) has recognized Leopardo’s outstanding safety record with its annual Safety Excellence Award in the 250,000 man hours and above category, the fourth time since 2012. The annual award is based on evaluation of Leopardo’s safety record against other contractors of similar size and type across the Fox Valley area of Illinois.

Leopardo has long been recognized for its best-in-class safety program, which is reinforced by an Experience Modification Rate (EMR) that is 20 percent below the industry average. EMR is the National Council on Compensation Insurance measurement of past cost of injuries and future chance of risk.

The Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) also recognized Leopardo’s outstanding safety record last year with a National AGC Safety Award in the 50,000 work hours and above category.

Since its founding in 1977, Leopardo has won more than 500 industry awards. Additional recent honors include:

>> 2016 Project of the Year – University of Chicago Medicine Center for Advanced Care (CISCO)
>> 2016 Project of the Year – The Evergreen at Covenant Village of Northbrook (Fox Valley AGC)
>> 2016 Emerald Award – Intent to Matter: Outstanding Organization (USGBC-Illinois)
>> 2015 General Contractor of the Year (Federation of Women Contractors)
