Featured Projects
Aurora Police Headquarters and Branch Court Facility
Aurora, IL
State of the art mist fire suppression system; cruise ship technology; 56 different IT systems in one building; 911 Emergency Call Center
Advocate Christ Medical Center, NICU Renovation
Oak Lawn, IL
10,500-SF four-phase renovation of an existing Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Detailed phasing plans were required as critically ill babies with compromised immune systems and extra sensitivities occupied adjacent spaces. Infection control and noise/vibration control were critical factors. Each area of work and phase of work - including all utility shutdowns - was mapped out with temporary partitions for infection control, temporary life safety systems, fire egress, and functional needs with each department months in advance of implementation with multiple backup plans and contingency to handle constantly changing patient and staff needs.
During the 20 plus years that I have been involved with architecture and construction, I have never participated in such a successful "team approach."
