Continuing a long-standing relationship with Sterling Bay, Leopardo partnered with the real estate investment and development company to renovate 121 W. Wacker, originally designed by Holabird & Roche and built in 1929. This major renovation and modernization aimed to restore the historic building’s Art Deco appeal while improving tenant friendliness. Project components include:

  • 5,023-SF lobby and corridor renovation and modernization
  • Redesigned lobby and retail level, as well as updated elevator cabs
  • Upgraded finishes to restore the building’s original Art Deco appeal, including a new Terrazzo floor, salvaged and relocated stone veneer masonry and Venetian plaster
  • Completed in multiple phases to allow tenants continued access to elevators without disruption
  • Awarded the 2016 Cosmetic Redevelopment of the Year by the Greater Chicago Food Depository
