AMC Yorktown 18

AMC Theatres tasked Leopardo with completing a state-of-the-art renovation at their Yorktown 18 location in Lombard, Illinois. The renovation is part of AMC’s strategy to enhance the overall movie-going experience by updating several of its theater locations throughout its circuit. Leopardo has completed projects for the company at several locations across the country. The scope of work for the Yorktown 18 project includes:

  • 67,679-SF renovation, including the demolition and renovation of auditoriums, lobby and restrooms, as well as box office, guest services and concession areas
  • Auditoriums were upgraded to include power reclining seats with tables to accommodate fast-casual dining
  • Build-out of an AMC Red Kitchen, one of only two AMC locations in the United States to feature this dining concept, which allows guests to enjoy a meal during the movie from the comfort of their power recliner
  • MacGuffins, a bar and lounge that serves specialty cocktails, beer and wine, was also added during the renovation
  • All new carpet, tile and paint throughout, light fixture upgrades and replacement of auditorium entry doors
  • Work was completed on an aggressive schedule while the theater was occupied
