In order to meet the needs of the growing number of staff, students and programs, Columbia College Chicago turned to Leopardo to renovate the adjoining buildings at 916 (five stories) and 1000 (two stories) South Wabash. This facility now houses various classrooms, offices, labs and equipment facilities.
- Complete renovation of the first and second floors of the adjoined buildings allowing for new dance and theater space along with classrooms, lecture halls and faculty offices
- Cosmetic work on three floors of the 916 S. Wabash building which provided new space for Columbia College’s many student organizations
- New aluminum and glass storefront to highlight their presence along South Wabash Avenue
- Exposed wood plank ceilings and masonry walls from the original early 1900’s construction combine with new mechanical, electrical and technical systems to provide a loft look
