Rush-Copley Medical Center ICU Expansion
This 12,400-SF $5.2 million expansion included a first-floor addition of 14 new rooms, which was attached to the existing ICU where four existing rooms were renovated. The construction included draining the current detention pond and filling in a portion of that area to build the addition. The addition straddles an existing retaining wall creating a basement mechanical room on one side and a slab on grade portion on the other side. New mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems were installed, as well as upgrades to the existing systems. New equipment was also installed and extensive medical gas work was completed.
