As the start of a major consolidation for its wealth management and wholesale banking operations scattered across five buildings, Wells Fargo turned to Leopardo for the first and second phases of its new Chicago headquarters, which consisted of:

Phase 1:

  • $4.5M, 45,000-SF tenant build-out of two floors that included concrete topping/floor leveling, marble, carpeting and wood throughout
  • Custom woodwork including wood walls, ceilings, benches, convector enclosures, display cases, oval conference table and reception desk
  • All new mechanical systems including VAV and fan power boxes and DDC controls, life safety and security systems and pre-action fire protection systems

Phase 2:

  • $24M, 215,000-SF, 10-floor interior demolition and build-out achieved LEED Gold certification completed in three overlapping phases
  • Concrete leveling, MEP infrastructure renovation on all floors, and new elevator stop on transfer floor to tie high/mid-rise floors together
  • Conference center floor with multiple conference rooms all equipped with extensive audiovisual and video presentation capabilities and conference room reservation syste
  • High-end millwork throughout with integrated LED lighting, wall panels and fabric panels, specialty flooring and wall finishes, wood ceilings, colored glass, demountable glass partitions and Skyfold partitions
