Will County Public Safety Complex

Built in 1973, the original Will County Sheriff’s Facility was unable to accommodate the county’s rapid growth in recent years. As a result, the staff relocated to six different facilities. With the help of Leopardo, the Will County Sheriff’s Department is now back under one roof at the new Will County Public Safety Complex. Project highlights include:

  • 87,000-SF, two-story facility on a seven-acre site
  • Comprised of a 66,000-SF sheriff’s department, 6,500-SF emergency telephone system board and the 12,500-SF Laraway Communications Center
  • Main complex includes 911 dispatch center, holding area and enclosed sally port, shared public and staff training rooms, evidence processing with property storage and vehicle processing, as well as multipurpose meeting spaces and locker rooms
  • Site work includes mass grading, utility work, bioswales, native planting and hardscaping
