Illinois Fire and Safety Alliance Honors Leopardo with Above and Beyond Volunteer Award

The Illinois Fire Safety Alliance (IFSA) announced today at its annual donor and volunteer recognition breakfast that Leopardo Companies has won the Above and Beyond Volunteer Award.
IFSA is an organization dedicated to bringing together those with a common interest in fire safety, burn prevention and public education, as well as promoting fire safety and burn prevention through public education.

The Above and Beyond Volunteer Award recognizes volunteer organizations, agencies, educational institutions, government entities, businesses and informal groups who help advance the mission of IFSA.

For nearly a decade, Leopardo has been supporting IFSA and Camp I Am Me through a variety of volunteer initiatives. The week-long event welcomes children and teenagers, at no cost, who have experienced injuries from burns. It is held annually at YMCA Camp Duncan in Ingleside and is now its 27th year.

Each year, a team of Leopardo employees, comprised mostly of field staff, gather to help in a variety of forms like hosting events, creating posters for the campers, helping setup and take down cabins, as well as assisting during the camp fun fair.
