Leopardo Wins Two Awards from the Association of Subcontractors and Affiliates
The Association of Subcontractors and Affiliates (ASA Chicago) recognized Leopardo with two awards at its annual award ceremony on May 11 at Victoria in the Park in Mount Prospect.
Leopardo received the Outstanding Project of the Year award for its Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. project, a 315,000-square-foot headquarters for the world’s fourth-largest insurance broker. The project required recladding the entire exterior of the building, as well as the build-out of new dining facilities, a commercial kitchen, conferencing facilities, fitness club and executive office spaces. Work also included the addition of a new front entrance and rear cafe, rooftop terrace, as well as a new front center drive.
Leopardo’s Mike Mastin also took home the Outstanding Project Manager award for his work on the Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. headquarters project. Mike is a 22-year construction industry veteran who has completed more than 1 million square feet since joining Leopardo more than a decade ago. His comprehensive skill set includes LEED-certified projects, large site development, multistory ground-up construction, as well as phased and occupied medical build-outs. Mike is a licensed professional engineer and LEED accredited professional. He holds a master’s degree in business administration from DePaul University and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
This is Leopardo’s third award from ASA Chicago. In the past, the company has been recognized for Outstanding Superintendent and Outstanding Project for its work on the Ronald McDonald House in Oak Lawn.
