Leopardo Breaks Ground on New Senior Housing Development
Leopardo Construction recently broke ground on a new senior housing development for Covenant Living of Northbrook. The project comes as part of Covenant Living’s 55-acre expansion plan.
Construction will entail the replacement of an existing one-story, 24-unit building with three, three-story, 11,000-square-foot carriage houses, providing a total of 36 apartment homes. Leopardo will also build a 9,000-square-foot addition to the Town Center, renovate the Town Center’s dining and food service areas, and relocate of a stream and underground detention.
The project is another example in the ongoing relationship between Leopardo and Covenant Living, including an assisted living expansion at Covenant Living at Windsor Park in 2022 and The Evergreen residential living expansion at Covenant Living of Northbrook in 2016.
“We are excited to again be working with our friends at Covenant Living and to deliver yet another project that will serve the community’s aging population,” said Senior Project Manager Joel Kelps.
Leopardo is working closely with Covenant Living of Northbrook and architect THW Design to complete the project later in 2025.
