Leopardo Project Named 2022 CISCO Project of the Year
The recently completed addition and renovation of the Oswegoland Park District’s Boulder Point facility was honored with the 2022 Construction Industry Service Corporation (CISCO) Project of the Year Award for Rehabilitation. A ceremony was held on February 10 at Maggiano’s Little Italy in Schaumburg to recognize the team and their outstanding efforts.
“The buy-in from our team and trade partners made all the difference on this project,” said Leopardo Project Manager Jeff Montanari. “The community rallied to construct and renovate the old facility, and everyone took pride in their work to execute a quality, well-built facility that will serve the park district for years to come.”
The project included a selective structural demolition and removal of various architectural elements to make way for a new lobby and programming spaces, as well as a full interior build-out with new mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, millwork, stairs, and finishes. The building remained open and occupied throughout construction with Leopardo coordinating day-to-day activities with the park district to maximize the amount of programming and activities that could be scheduled.
Leopardo collaborated with the Oswegoland Park District and architecture firm Cordogan Clark + Associates to complete the project.
