Renovation of a vacant space into a fitness center in Chicago’s Loop
Work was completed as part of a building amenities upgrade, relocating the tenant gym from across the street at 55 W. Wacker Dr. to the main building
Cardio, free weight areas, as well as spin room and group fitness area
Locker rooms and shower stalls with plumbing upgrades and pipe sizing for better shower water pressure
Acoustically-rated ceilings, walls and floors to mitigate sound disruption to the neighboring tenants

Key Challenges:

Three 2,500-pound tuned mass dampers (TMDs) installed under the group fitness rooms to divert shock and vibration to the building's structural core
