Mike Leopardo Inducted into Midwest Real Estate News Commercial Real Estate Hall of Fame

Leopardo Executive Vice President Mike Leopardo was inducted into the Midwest Real Estate News Commercial Real Estate Hall of Fame. Each year the magazine honors the biggest names in the commercial real estate industry. Mike was among 96 professionals who were selected for the 2017 class.

“They worked hard,” said Dan Rafter, editor of Midwest Real Estate News, regarding the inductees. “They have been passionate about providing top customer service to their clients. And they have been honest throughout their careers.”

Mike’s career spans more than 30 years, during which he has helped grow Leopardo from a small family-owned outfit into one of the nation’s top general contractors. Prior to stepping into the role of executive vice president in 2017, Mike was responsible for the overall strategy and operations of Leopardo’s specialized institutional business unit, which includes healthcare and senior living. He and his team successfully completed more than $1 billion in projects, including medical office buildings, surgery centers, laboratories and senior housing, as well as all types of hospital renovations and expansions. Mike also played an active role in Leopardo’s strategic markets business unit, where he was focused on building lasting client relationships and an impressive portfolio of work. Many of the projects won during his tenure with the business unit played an important part in rebuilding Chicago’s now-thriving West Loop neighborhood.

Midwest Real Estate News officially announced the 2017 Commercial Real Estate Hall of Fame class in the Dec./Jan. issue. Mike joins Leopardo Senior Vice President Rick DuPraw (class of 2015), President Rick Mattioda (class of 2012) and CEO Jim Leopardo (inaugural class of 2010).
