Leopardo Announces 2019 Charitable Contributions

Leopardo is pleased to announce that contributions made through the Leopardo Charitable Foundation reached more than $245,000 in 2019.

The Leopardo Charitable Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to the core values of kindness, goodwill, compassion and benevolence. Every year the foundation aids dozens of deserving charities that promote education, health, technology and wellness. Since 2004, Leopardo and its foundation have raised and donated nearly $2.5 million.

This year support was given to the United Way, American Heart Association, Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, USO-Illinois, among many others.

For more than 40 years, corporate responsibility has been a core value of Leopardo. In addition to the charitable foundation, the company and its employees participate in countless volunteer initiatives, fundraisers, nonprofit partnerships, above-and-beyond services, a charitable band, as well as good corporate citizenship.

Leopardo’s community-minded approach to business stemmed from its founder and CEO, James Leopardo, and has organically grown into an important distinguishing characteristic throughout the company. In 2019, Leopardo employees collaborated on more than 20 community service projects in support of organizations like Ronald McDonald House Charities, RefugeeOne, The Night Ministry and many more. This year’s efforts bring the company’s total to more than 120 community service projects over the last decade.

Liquidated Damages, the company’s charitable rock band comprised of musicians from Leopardo and its business partners, played numerous benefit concerts in 2019. Their performances helped to raise a collective $600,000 for various nonprofit organizations, $150,000 of which came exclusively from the Liquidated Damages ticket sales. Since the band’s founding in 1999, it alone has raised over $5.5 million for charities, including Beacon Therapeutics, Aspire, Homes for Heroes, Alzheimer’s Association, City of Hope and more.
