Leopardo Completes Renovation of Glen Ellyn Civic Center and New Innovation DuPage Center

Leopardo recently completed a renovation of the Glen Ellyn Civic Center, converting the former police headquarters into the new College of DuPage Innovation DuPage Center.

The Glen Ellyn Civic Center housed the police headquarters until 2017 when it moved into its own facility, also built by Leopardo. The renovation included the demolition of holding cell walls, a complete replacement and upgrading of the building’s HVAC systems, as well as the installation of a new security system, incline and vertical lifts for grade changes and Total Door elevator systems to bring the space up to code.

The Innovation DuPage Center provides entrepreneurs and emerging businesses the tools and resources to develop and grow into strong brands and organizations, offering round-the-clock access to meeting and incubation spaces, mentors and networking services. The new center also features audiovisual-equipped conference rooms, modern finishes and a bright, colorful layout.

A grand opening was held on May 22, 2019, attended by Leopardo’s Senior Vice President Leigh McMillen, Project Executive Diane Zimmer, Project Manager Yoetzin Diaz and Senior Superintendent Rick Wiese, as well as representatives from architect Dewberry, Village of Glen Ellyn and College of DuPage.

Leopardo partnered with architect Dewberry to complete the project.
