Leopardo Breaks Ground on a New Police Department for Peru, Illinois

Leopardo has broken ground on a new police station for Peru, Illinois. Developed on a six-acre site with the adjacent roadways removed from the acreage, the new built-to-suit facility will feature training and conference rooms, staff offices, a break room and cafe, as well as a fitness center and locker rooms. It will also house an evidence room and processing laboratory, a holding and booking space, armory and equipment rooms, as well as an attached sally port and covered parking garage.

“We are excited to be a part of a project that will expand the Peru Police Department’s capacity to serve and protect its citizens,” said Leopardo Companies Senior Vice President Leigh McMillen.

Leopardo is collaborating with the City of Peru, BCA Architects and McClaren, Wilson + Lawrie to complete the project by the summer of 2021.
