Leopardo Project Executive Nicole McElroy Named to ENR Midwest’s Top Young Professionals List

Leopardo is thrilled to announce that Nicole McElroy, project executive, has been named to the 2021 Class of ENR Midwest Top 20 Young Professionals Under 40. This list recognizes young industry professionals who exhibit exceptional leadership, career progress and community involvement. Nicole is honored for her completion of innovative projects, development of new ideas and for driving change at Leopardo.

In just over 13 years at the company, Nicole has amassed a resume of large, ground-up projects, including the 160,000-square-foot, LEED Gold-certified Aurora Police Headquarters and Branch Court Facility in Aurora, the 70,000-square-foot West Chicago Park District ARC Center, the 85,000-square-foot Will County Public Safety Complex and 70,000-square-foot Will County Health Department in Joliet, as well as the 30,000-square-foot Glen Ellyn Police Department, among several others. Nicole is also a LEED Accredited Professional and has contributed greatly to Leopardo’s commitment to building healthy, high-performing spaces.

“Nicole is tireless in her efforts to help clients achieve the best value in their projects,” said Leopardo Senior Vice President Leigh McMillen. “She works creatively with staff, design teams and contractors to build cost-conscious, effective and long-lasting facilities that truly enhance the communities they serve.”

She is a graduate of the University of Illinois and holds two master’s degrees in architecture and civil engineering with a focus on construction management, as well as a bachelor’s degree in architectural studies. Nicole also studied at The School of Architecture and Urbanism in Versailles, France.
