Leopardo Breaks Ground on Florida Medical Office Building with Joint Venture Partner Upshot Construction Services
Leopardo recently broke ground on the 72,000-square-foot Upshot Medical Center at Mills Park (UMC) in Orlando, Florida. The team is scheduled to break ground on a second, 90,000-square-foot medical center building this summer. The combined square footage makes this project one of the only Class A, LEED-designed medical office projects of its size in the country. The project comes as part of a joint venture partnership between Leopardo Companies and Upshot Construction Services, the construction division of Upshot Capital Advisors‘ vertically integrated private equity real estate platform.
The project consists of two buildings—a five-story north tower and a future six-story south tower, as well as a six-story connected parking garage with more than 850 spaces. Designed to ensure a socially responsible, healthy environment, the buildings will also feature pre-glazed curtain wall to provide an elegant aesthetic and ultra-thermal performance, as well as an outdoor courtyard and top-floor terrace.
