Leopardo Completes Build-Out for Salt Flats
Leopardo has completed a build-out for Salt Flats at 113 N. May St., a former Harpo Studios property, in Chicago’s West Loop neighborhood. Salt Flats is an innovation house that creates the future with entrepreneurs, startups and corporations through a revolutionary business transformation process. Inside the Salt Flats Innovation House is a curated ecosystem that transforms teams, creates rapid learning and builds new business models for today’s digitally-disruptive world.
The construction of the Salt Flats Innovation House, the first of its kind in the world, included new flooring and wall coverings, along with a refresh of bathrooms and kitchen space. The project also uniquely featured a custom, curved glass wall in the common area and an entryway floor with the Salt Flats logo comprised entirely of custom tiles. The space will bring business transformation and corporate strategy to companies ready to revolutionize their corporate practices.
Shortly after completing the project, Leopardo was honored to be the first company to utilize the space it built. Other companies who have engaged Salt Flats’ include Exelon, Milliken & Company, Interiors for Business, as well as the City of Peoria and more.
Serving as general contractor, Leopardo partnered with architecture firm East Lake Studios to complete the project, which is another in Leopardo’s growing list of West Loop and Sterling Bay properties. Other recent work includes interior build-outs for Uber Technologies and Mosaic, along with the ground-up construction of 210 N. Carpenter St. and Fulton West.
