Leopardo Begins Work on a Scattered Site Rehabilitation Project

Leopardo Construction recently began work on a three-building, 70-unit rehabilitation of the existing Boulevard Apartments family housing complex. Located in three separate walk-up buildings in Chicago’s Logan Square, West Town, and Humboldt Park neighborhoods at 1930-38 N. Humboldt, 2212-14 N. Sacramento, and 929-35 N. Sacramento, the development features apartments ranging from studios to four bedrooms, as well as amenities, such as on-site laundry facilities.

Construction will include the renovation of all units including new kitchens and bathrooms, new flooring and appliances, replacement of the existing roofs and windows, as well as new energy efficient furnaces and masonry restoration work.

“Renovating these three historic buildings will help to continue to maintain much needed affordable housing in Chicago and Leopardo is proud to be part of the team and to contribute to these communities,” said Leopardo Senior Vice President Mike Mastin.

Leopardo is working closely with Bickerdike Redevelopment, LBBA Architects, and Apex Construction on the project. Completion is scheduled for summer 2025.
