Leopardo CEO Among 2016 Who’s Who in Chicago
Leopardo CEO James Leopardo was included on the 2016 Who’s Who in Chicago list released annually by Crain’s Chicago Business. The directory compiles the city’s top “movers and shakers.” Leopardo joins Fortune 500 CEOs, philanthropists, politicians and more on this year’s list.
Leopardo founded the construction firm in 1977. Under his leadership, the company has grown into one of the nation’s largest contractors with more than 400 employees and 2016 revenues in excess of $425 million. In 2016, Crain’s also ranked Leopardo among the top contractors in the area.
An industry pioneer, Leopardo was an inductee in the Midwest Real Estate News Commercial Real Estate Hall of Fame and is a past recipient of the Entrepreneur of the Year award from Ernst and Young. Twice he has been a featured speaker at Harvard Business School’s Annual Entrepreneurship Conference. Since 2004, he has also been an active member of the World Presidents’ Organization (WPO).
Leopardo’s past philanthropic work includes serving on the board at Foglia YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago, during which he received the Volunteer of the Year and Family of the Year awards. He has also served as a board member of JFK Health World, a non-profit children’s health education museum.
