Leopardo Completes 24-story Luxury Condo in Chicago’s Gold Coast
Leopardo has completed work on the 24-story luxury condominium tower known as 4 East Elm.
The 35-unit building at the northeast corner of State and Elm streets features half and full-floor condominiums. Amenities include 10-foot finished ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, wide-plank flooring in living areas, Florense cabinetry, Wolf and Miele appliances, as well as quartz or natural stone countertops. All residences are also granted private elevator access. Homeowners will have access to a variety of additional amenities, including a landscaped sundeck, outdoor hydrotherapy pool and spa, clubhouse lounge with a full kitchen and flat-screen television, movie screening room, fitness center, first-floor retail, 24-hour doorman and private garage parking.
4 East Elm is seeking Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification. Sustainable features include an extensive vegetated green roof, as well as the use of recycled materials, regional and low-emitting materials, and high-efficiency plumbing fixtures
The development was the first new condominium high-rise to begin construction on Chicago’s North Side in five years and the first in the Gold Coast since 2007 when it broke ground in 2014.
Serving as general contractor, Leopardo collaborated with Chicago-based Convexity Properties and architect Solomon Cordwell Buenz to complete the project.
