Leopardo Completes Build-out for Home Advisor

Leopardo completed a build-out for Home Advisor, located in Chicago’s historic Merchandise Mart. Home Advisor is a digital marketplace, which aims to connect homeowners with local home service professionals.

The new office space was built to reflect the energetic, employee-oriented culture of the company, with open office space, vivid color palettes, communal dining areas and an employee game room. Sealed concrete floors and ceilings along with floating wood ceiling elements and reclaimed lumber shelving give the space a warm yet industrial feel. A custom sliding gate at the office entry provides security, as well as a unique visual element with all structural components painted and left exposed. The office also features multiple training and conference rooms outfitted with state-of-the-art audiovisual technology.

Home Advisor’s office is the most recent of Leopardo’s extensive work in the Merchandise Mart. Past projects include build-outs for Leo Burnett, Dunnhumby, Motorola Mobility and Seismic, along with showrooms for DL Couch, AIS, OFS Brands and InScape.

Serving as general contractor, Leopardo partnered with architecture firm Perkins + Will.
