Leopardo Project Wins CAGC Project of the Year
The Leopardo-built FBRK Impact House has won the Project of the Year award in the renovation under $10 million category. Presented by the Chicagoland Associated General Contractors (CAGC), the honor recognizes projects that displayed excellence in project management and field supervision, client service, craftsmanship, overcoming challenges, as well as the employment of innovative techniques and materials. The award was announced at the virtual Constructors Connect event held on Thursday, December 10.
Founded by former Chicago Bear Israel Idonije, FBRK Impact House is dedicated to serving grantmakers, family foundations and investors. Sitting at 200 W. Madison Street, it’s Chicago’s first innovation-focused philanthropy center, providing organizations that frequently find themselves working in isolation with an open, caring community and a creative, safe space in which to work.
“Leopardo is honored to see our project receive this award,” said Executive Vice President Rick DuPraw. “This award caps off the exceptional work put in by our interiors team to deliver this space and further punctuates the tremendous impact FBRK Impact House will have on the community.”
The 45,000-square-foot FBRK Impact House occupies three floors in Chicago’s Loop area and features a thoughtfully-designed environment that provides a balance of private offices, workspace, dedicated desks and meeting and conference rooms conducive to collaboration and allowing for greater efficiency. Dedicated spaces for entertaining and wellness-focused activities round out the holistic vision of the Impact House. In addition to a street-level public work-lounge and a restaurant, members can also enjoy amenities spaces located on the second and third floors.
“We would especially like to thank DeJuan A. Kea of FBrands LLC for his instrumental support in this project,” said Director of Strategic Relations Anthony Leopardo. “His involvement was pivotal to Leopardo being afforded the opportunity to build this great space.”
FBRK Impact House adds to Leopardo’s interiors market experience. Projects of all sizes are completed by Leopardo’s interiors team with a commitment to construction excellence, a proven approach to preconstruction and a consistent track record of delivering aggressive schedules and tight budgets, along with meticulously managed projects. Recent projects include a 50,000-square-foot build-out for the Belgium-based innovative sales software company Showpad and a 19,000-square-foot build-out for healthcare revenue cycle management solutions company Waystar.
Leopardo collaborated with FBRK, Fifty/50 Restaurant Group, BOX Studios, RL Edwards Partners and Transwestern to deliver the project.
