Leopardo Senior Quality Manager Lauren Martin Named Among Crain’s Chicago Business Notable Women in STEM

Leopardo Construction’s Senior Quality Manager Lauren Martin was recently named to Crain’s Chicago Business’ 2023 list of Notable Women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). The list celebrates 100 women working in a senior STEM position who are changing the landscape of the industry in the Chicagoland area and inspiring the next generation of female professionals to pursue a career in this quartet of hard sciences.

Lauren joined Leopardo Construction in 2021 from The Walsh Group, where she served for eight years. She holds a Master of Architecture and Construction Management from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Interior Architecture from the University of Wisconsin at Stevens Point. In her role as Senior Quality Manager, Lauren inspects projects before, during, and after construction to ensure compliance with Leopardo’s high safety and quality requirements and specifications through the development and maintenance of quality control (QC) plans, diligent tracking and documentation, and supervision.

“Lauren has worked diligently to build meaningful relationships with our office, field and trade partners,” said Leopardo Vice President of Marketing Jennifer Stanton. “She is trusted throughout our organization and is well-deserving of this honor.”

Throughout her career, Lauren has continued to make a measurable impact on the construction industry and has dedicated her time and talents to the mentoring and developing of other women considering careers in STEM, including volunteering with Leopardo Construction to build housing at Habitat for Humanity Chicago’s Women Build event.
