CEO James Leopardo was included on the 2016 Who’s Who in Chicago list released annually by Crain’s Chicago Business.
The Associated General Contractors (AGC) of America has recognized Leopardo’s outstanding safety record with a National AGC Safety Award.
Leopardo will accept the award at the 11th annual Emerald Awards ceremony, which recognizes outstanding individuals, organizations, projects and technologies.
Crain’s attributes the office renovation, built by Leopardo and designed by architecture firm VOA, as a major contributor to Grant Thornton’s inclusion on this year’s list.
Leopardo’s renovation of the historic 121 W. Wacker building, originally designed by Holabird & Roche and built in 1929, received the award.
The Fox Valley Associated General Contractors (FVAGC) honored Leopardo with the award for The Evergreen at Covenant Village of Northbrook.
Rick was selected from a pool of more than 500 nominations and joins 95 others in this year’s class.
The headquarters features dynamic lighting, large graphics and reclaimed stadium materials.
