Leopardo to Be Honored at 2024 Illinois RE Journal Real Estate Awards Ceremony

Leopardo and its projects have been selected as finalists for Illinois RE Journal’s annual real estate awards competition, an event that celebrates the achievements, successes, and highlights of all sectors of the commercial real estate industry. Winners will be revealed at the celebration on June 5th which will be held at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare Chicago In Rosemont, Illinois.

Five Leopardo projects were nominated for the Project of the Year in their respective market categories. These include Sheffield of Lincoln Park formerly known as Edith Spurlock Sampson Apartments (Affordable Housing), Bartlett Fire Protection District Station No. 1 and Will County Coroner’s Facility (Government/Community Facility), Seville (Retail/Restaurant – Urban Restaurant), and Orland Park Medical Pavilion – Silver Cross Hospital (Medical Property).

Leopardo is also named as a finalist for Residential General Contractor of the Year. Currently Leopardo has several major multifamily developments under construction in Chicagoland including Encuentro Square, 4713 North Western Avenue, Prospect Senior Lofts, and South Park Plaza, as well as a multi-site renovation underway for Boulevard Apartments.

Leopardo worked closely with 845 Design Group on Bartlett Fire Protection District Station No. 1, Wight & Co. on Will County Coroner’s Facility, Barker Nestor on Seville, and Jensen & Halstead on Orlando Park Medical Pavilion. Sheffield of Lincoln Park was developed through a joint venture partnership between PIRHL and the Chicago Housing Authority. Leopardo Construction and UJAMAA Construction worked together in a joint venture as the general contractor for the project (Leopardo/UJAMAA JV). Tandem Ventures was the regulatory compliance consultant, and the architect of record was RATIO.
