Leopardo Project Honored with 2024 Project of the Year Award

Leopardo is excited to announce that its redevelopment of the Streeterville Office Tower was named the 2024 Project of the Year by Sika Roofing and Waterproofing. This annual award recognizes projects that utilize Sika roofing or waterproofing systems and are evaluated based on project complexity, design uniqueness or importance, workmanship, and creative problem solving. Leopardo and its team were honored at the Sika Roofing and Waterproofing Customer Appreciation & 2024 Projects of the Year Celebration at The Alamo historical site in Texas.

“Our team did a fantastic job delivering this complex project and we are very honored to be recognized with this award,” said Leopardo Senior Project Manager Baris Gocmen.

The six-floor build-out and redevelopment of the 60-story Streeterville Office Tower in downtown Chicago, just west of Navy Pier, transformed more than 102,000-SF of existing office space into a 101-room hotel for Sonder that spans floors six through ten, with rental operations offering short-term rentals of two days minimum in units ranging in size from one to three bedrooms. Work included the updating of the ground floor lobby, as well as the creation of an open terrace with landscaping on the sixth floor.
