Leopardo Completes Electronic Intensive Care Unit for Advocate Health Care

Leopardo recently completed an renovation of an existing tenant suite in an occupied office building for Advocate Health Care’s electronic intensive care unit (eICU). The relocation creates room for growth, while combining digital remote patient care and resource management departments into a commercial space away from the hospital.

The new eICU houses telemedicine technology to support physicians and nurses in all of Advocate’s ICUs, as well as additional patient outreach across the country, allowing for remote patient monitoring and secure communications. It also features an open work area with ample natural lighting, kitchen, conference and break rooms, huddle spaces and private offices.

Leopardo collaborated with Advocate Health + Hospitals and architecture firm Matthei + Colin Associates to deliver the project.
