The project was honored with the 2022 CISCO Rehabilitation Project of the Year Award
The ECAC Distinguished Community Service Award was presented at the ECAC Annual Benefit Dinner, held this year at the German Cultural Center.
The 80,900-square-foot, two-story combined Village Hall and Police Station will include space for School District 58 Administrative Offices.
The project will transform the iconic movie site into a youth baseball and softball oasis while maintaining the property as a working farm.
The new built-to-suit facility features training and conference rooms, staff offices, a break room and cafe, as well as a fitness center and locker rooms.
The new health department replaces an existing 67,000-square-foot facility, which was one of the county’s oldest buildings.
The new aquatic center features a four-lane lap pool, zero-depth pool, two new sand volleyball courts, as well as various other site improvements, such as a new patio area and decorative walkways.

The project consisted of selective demolition and an interior renovation of the temple, along with an entryway expansion and limited exterior work.
The new apartment complex portion occupies the four floors above the library branch and consists of 44 affordable residences for seniors, each of which features a colorful balcony. In addition to the library, tenant amenities include a fitness room and access to the rooftop green space.
